Flash iOS Apps CookbookLooking to make iOS apps using Flash?

Flash game developer Christopher Caleb‘s new book Flash iOS Apps Cookbook aims to teach you how to do just that.

Written for beginners and experienced developers alike, the book acts as a step-by-step guide for developing and publishing applications on the iOS platform.

A Quick Rundown of the Book

Chapter 1 starts you off nice and easy, helping you through the process of signing up as an iOS developer. One of the things that impressed me right off the bat was the helpful hints and screenshots that go along with the instructions. If you know what you’re doing, you can easily skip over them. But if you’re new, they’ll guide you right along.

Once you’ve got your developer account set up, Christopher moves on to configuring Flash for iOS development. He then walks you through the basics of developing in Flash for iOS platforms with useful code examples.

With the basics down, the rest of the book delves into the specifics of developing for the iOS platform. Chapters cover a number of topics ranging from multi-touch and text input to audio and video to camera and microphone support. Christopher covers all the topics you’ll need to know to create your first iOS app, no matter what kind of app you’re looking to make.
