Sure thing. I remember reading an article about your site. I can’t quite recall where I read it, but nice job turning it into a success! Good luck with your site, it’s great to see games that teach kids math skills doing so well.

Why is it that no one replys from this list. Are they on vacation?
August 8th, 2009 at 8:59 am
I know that a few sponsors are on vacation right now, but some should be replying, or at least taking a look at your game. How long have you waited?
August 9th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
About a week for a few and about 3 days for others, also there is a site called arcadetouch that I think sponsors games too.
August 9th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Oh yea and for others like 20 days (armor games, crazy monkey games, free online games etc.)
August 10th, 2009 at 8:58 am
3 days isn’t so bad. I would’ve though armor games and the others would have replied by now. If you have your game on FGL you can check which sponsors viewed it. That way if they viewed it and didn’t respond, you can assume they’re probably not interested.
If your game isn’t on Flash Game License, I would recommend putting it there. It’s not only helpful in finding a sponsor, but you’ll get developer reviews which can help you improve your game.
Thanks for that, I’ve added them.

I do have it there and yeah, I’ve just mass mailed the sponsors hoping to atleast find someone. It’s been 3 days, lets see what happens.
August 11th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Wow, that’s well handy. Thanks.
That’s a hell of a lot of e-mails for me to write tomorrow though!
I have found that some sponsors can take weeks to get round to actually replying, even if they do like a game. It’s not surprising when you consider how many games there are.
My advice is not to wait until a game is finished before selling it- get a solid demo out there as soon as you can then you can spend a month selling it and if the sponsor wants API or anything put it it’s no problem.
August 11th, 2009 at 1:12 pm
No problem. I find that personalizing each email works better than mass sending emails. So try to take the time to at least add the portal’s name into your email, and then maybe something about that portal as well.
Personally, I like to be completely finished my games when I send an email to a sponsor. That way the sponsor’s first impression will be that of your game at it’s best. So I’ll usually upload it to FGL, then get some developer feedback, then once I’m satisfied that I’ve polished it as best that I can, I’ll start promoting it to sponsors.

Yeah, I tried that now. Armor Games replied (Not the others) and said my game was fun but they want to sponsor more refined games!!! GAHHH!

Never work with Spil – they can hold payments for months, even after game release!
